要求:
1 collect data from a learner, from interview or questionnaire, and drawn appropriate observations on the learner’s linguistic and cultural background, past and future use of the English language, and the learner’s approach (strategies) and attitude to the learning situation
2 show ability to evaluate the learner’s current linguistic proficiency, offering an analysis of the learner’s use of grammar, lexis and phonology and compiled a detailed profile of the learner, and made recommendations for the learner’s future language development and autonomy
3 Class sessions will consider methods for collecting data (questionnaire and interview) as well as aspects of the description of learner language: grammar, lexis, and phonology.

 1 The background of your learner relevant to his/her learning of English: age, socio-economic background, education, reason for learning English.
2 His/her language learning needs: future needs (eg for education or work) and current language learning needs.
3 Discussion of the learner’s strategies for language learning.
4 Analysis of the learner’s spoken and written English; this will focus on the learner’s productive skills of speaking and writing, and will involve analysis of the following aspects of performance: features of grammatical, lexical and phonological competence.
5 Evaluation of the findings you have reported and recommendations for future language development. This final part of your report should draw on the theories introduced in earlier parts of the paper.

注意事项:
The following should be presented in Appendices, referred to in the text:
1 All performance data (ie transcribed spoken sample and written sample; tabular summary of analysis); an audio/digital copy of the spoken data should also be available;
2 Documentation (eg the task rubrics to elicit performance, copy of the questionnaire/interview questions);
3 Background information where relevant.
4 Appendices must be numbered and have clear titles. Any sources must be referenced as normal. They do not count in the word limit.
